The course aims to offer an overview of the discipline of Strategic Studies taking into account its evolution, its most important authors, the evolution of warfare and contemporary problems related to the transformation of war, irregular conflicts and asymmetry. The course is designed to provide analytical and critical tools addressed to understand, interpret and evaluate interrelations among strategic thinking, and its historical evolution, and modern battlefields.
